In this role, working within the Division System Drives Global Marketing & Communications team, you will drive external communications strategies to ensure System Drives positioning through appropriate channels in alignment with the relevant target audience.

**This position reports to**:
Global Marketing&Communications Manager

**Your responsibilities**:

- Develop and execute external communications plans, including editorial, for System Drives’ key value proposition pillars (digital, sustainability) to position the business as thought leader increasing the awareness externally
- Collaborate with the Motion External Communications manager to define and execute the Media Relations strategy for System Drives
- Monitor global trends to identify opportunities to increase branding and media activities by target audience, actively proposing forums, events and collaboration that would increase System Drives visibility
- Support key division global events with coherent strategy, messaging, promotional activities
- Support System Drives activities to leverage ABB Corporate initiatives (such as FormulaE), acting as System Drives speaking partner
- Plan and execute segment marketing communication plans for some of the division’s key strategic industries, aligning messages, assets and activities to the division strategy, corporate branding and leveraging cross business collaboration as relevant
- Work in close collaboration with Motion communications teams, corporate communication, and branding in order to maximize collaboration opportunities across the company
- Manage budget and plan related to the area of responsibility
- Set up and monitor KPIs and other indicators for the area of responsibility

**Your background**:

- Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing or equivalent
- 5-10 years’ experience, preferably but not limited to Communications (preferably in B2B environment)
- Previous experience in media relations and/or in project management related to communications is an advantage
- Proven excellent writing skills in English
- Familiarity with drives and related industry segments is a plus
- Team player with openness to work with people with different background and expertise
- Business driven, able to work under pressure and to set own goals and plans
- Excellent communication skills in English, additional languages are of advantage
