Janssen Supply Group, LLC, is recruiting for a Director, Partnerships & External Supply, Large Molecule Drug Substance to be located in Titusville, NJ; Malvern, PA; Horsham, PA; Zug, Switzerland; Cork, Ireland; Leiden, Netherlands, or Beerse, Belgium.

The Director, Partnerships & External Supply (PES), Large Molecule Drug Substance (LM DS) is responsible for base business supply of commercial Large Molecule or Parenteral products and leadership of others doing the same. Role leads Large Molecule Drug Substance CMOs, or Supply Chain Licensing Alliances to ensure that products are available to meet customer needs, provide the highest quality at the lowest total cost of ownership, and achieve maximum relationship value through accelerated innovation, supplier integration, process improvement, and collaboration. The external relationships are highly complex in nature and require extensive interaction with key business stakeholders, critical supplier leadership, and other segment/functional leadership. The role organizes, designs and allocates specific responsibilities across the team to optimize effectiveness and ensure alignment to short
- and long-term strategic objectives of the Janssen Supply Chain and Partnerships & External Supply. The role will also lead implementation and leadership of strategic initiatives with the CMOs.

**Responsibilities**:
STRATEGY:

- Shape external network & strategy, Influence and support JSC strategy by providing input on the external landscape related to partners and CMOs.
- Benchmark other J&J and partner companies and industries to identify innovations, continuous improvement, and best-in-class processes to support PES and business development initiatives.
- Deeply understand and communicate evolving market opportunities & make sure the team is acting as the single point of contact to link & implement strategic initiatives such as Janssen’s Digital Strategy, Capacity Expansions, and Operational excellence at CMOs.

PARTNER ASSESSMENT:

- Assess partners’ capacity and capabilities to support JSC sourcing initiatives.
- Lead partner assessment and new product implementation in coordination with quartet functions, including site visits.
- Define technology transfer expectations and supply strategy with partners.

PARTNER MANAGEMENT:

- Serve as Team leader of Virtual General Managers with external partners, leading JNJ quartets in partner management, providing oversight of all activities and financials.
- Establish and maintain performance metrics and targets with the goal of improving supply, processes, and systems and eliminating redundancies regarding supply, compliance, finance, and strategy.
- Partner with procurement in agreement negotiations and ensure proper functional inputs.
- Align quartet to manage compliance to agreements, as well as overall cost management including seeking cost reduction opportunities.
- Develop and manage Account Plans for the LM DS team and support site leads managing quartet in delivering on all objectives.
- Define and establish priorities, requirements, expectations, results, and partner needs between JSC functions and partners through the use of negotiated agreements for the LM DS site leads.

TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT:

- Project manage implementation of new product launches at partners to ensure timely product availability. Manage plans related to the implementation of product changes.
- Serve as Team Leader of Virtual GMs related to partners and support the site leads on determining appropriate actions when key issues remain unresolved.

PEOPLE LEADERSHIP:

- Manage team (can be matrix cross-functional) to ensure strong results through effective performance management and development planning.
- Coach team members to influence outcomes through rigorous understanding of the external and internal landscape & make sure appropriate connection with internal make organization is maintained at all times.

**Qualifications**
Required:

- A Bachelor’s degree (or University equivalent)
- A minimum of 10 experience in the areas of both general manufacturing (pharma DS or DP, biologics, or other similarly regulated industries) and business management (business development, procurement, value chain management)
