Headquartered in the United Kingdom and operating in more than 180 countries around the world, Travelport is focused on driving innovation that simplifies the complex travel ecosystem. **Purpose statement** A commercial role accountable for the retention and development of a specific number of allocated national-tier customers within Switzerland. The Account Manager will directly own and manage the Travelport relationship with the specified customers with the aim of retaining and growing the revenue and EBITDA generated by those customers for Travelport. **Main Accountabilities**: - Commercial responsibility for a defined number of national-tier customer accounts. - Primary point of contact for customers at Travelport Agency Sales, representing the company to customers and customers to Travelport. - Responsibility for building and strengthening long-term relationships with key decision makers at customers. - Responsibility for customer penetration and revenue growth. - Develops and applies the correct account management "playbook" to ensure rigorous account management practices. - Develops and implements retention and growth strategies as well as sales plans for customers within the portfolio. - Takes a proactive stance in account management, seeking new business opportunities within existing accounts and ways to overcome competitive threats while maintaining Travelport's profitability. - Takes a strategic role in growing the customer's business. - Responsible for mapping customer requirements to Travelport products and services to grow the business. - Leads negotiations for renewal of customer contracts. - Manages and maintains an active CRM pipeline for own client portfolio. - Develops and maintains business plans for each customer in the CRM system and ensures they are kept up to date. - Builds relationships with key stakeholders within Travelport to ensure comprehensive fulfillment of customer requirements. - Works closely with other key resources within the Travelport Matrix organization including (but not limited to) Customer Success, Solution Consultancy, Finance, Contracting, Project Management, API Support, Search Optimization, etc. - Ensures Travelport support resources are optimized to provide the best customer experience. **Knowledge, Skills, Experience, Training, Education**: - Educated to degree or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years working experience in a business-to-business environment within the travel industry. - Strong commercial skills, including ability to translate customer business requirements into definable actions. - Proven sales leader - capable of negotiating mid-scale deals & interfacing at the most senior level within a customer. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - persuasive and capable of influencing senior stakeholders both internally and externally. Possessing high degree of self-motivation, confidence, assertiveness, and an ability to respond to rapidly changing environments. - Strong commercial understanding of the Travelport business model, core drivers & technology requirements. - Strong knowledge of the travel technology landscape. - Strong functional/technical knowledge of Travelport platform. - Strong understanding of the leisure sector including, but not limited to; Consolidators, Tour Operators and OTAs - Will have a high degree of numeracy and financial acumen. - Must possess an overriding desire to understand, agree and meet customer needs and exceed their expectations, constantly striving to achieve customer satisfaction. - Although no direct people responsibility, a strong leader. **About Us** Travelport is a worldwide travel retail platform.
