**English Teaching Assistant - Early Years**

Mosaic School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Assistant to support students in developing their English language skills within our bilingual education framework. The English Assistant will work closely with teachers and students, ensuring a supportive and engaging learning environment that fosters bilingual proficiency in both English and French.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist English teachers in delivering lessons based on the English National Curriculum and Plan d’Étude Roman (PER).
- Help prepare and organise teaching materials, lesson resources, and classroom activities.
- Encourage students’ confidence and participation in English by facilitating engaging discussions and activities.
- Support teachers in assessing student progress and providing feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
- Provide small-group and one-on-one support to students needing additional help with English language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
- Collaborate with the French teaching staff to ensure seamless language transitions in the bilingual curriculum.
- Assist in maintaining a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Participate in school projects, events, and extracurricular activities as needed.
- Follow all safeguarding policies and uphold the school’s values of diversity, inclusion, and well-being.

The position is for **26-28 hours per week**, with the following work schedule.
- **Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday**: 6 hours and 30 minutes per day.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Fluent English speaker (Native or C2 level).
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting.
- Understanding of bilingual education and a passion for language learning.
- A teaching assistant qualification or relevant experience is a plus.
- Basic French skills are desirable but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural school environment.
- Patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for supporting student learning.
