The Legal Service is looking to recruit for a Counsel position (80%) in its Institutional Matters team.
**Purpose of the job and accountabilities**:
You will join a diverse team of lawyers responsible for advising on a large variety of legal issues relating to the Bank’s operations and governance. This will include advising on the Bank’s status as an international organisation and its privileges and immunities, its relationship with Switzerland as its host country, employment-related matters, including representing the Bank in employment related disputes, personal data protection, as well as a wide range of contractual issues with suppliers and other third parties.
**Qualifications, skills and experience**:
- Master’s level law qualification or equivalent
- At least 5 years’ experience in working in the field of public international law, preferably as a lawyer, with an international organisation
- Ability to work independently on technically complex files
- Good analytical skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent command of spoken and written English. Knowledge of German and/or French would constitute an advantage
