What we do

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) works worldwide to provide humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflict and armed violence. We take action in response to emergencies and at the same time promote respect for international humanitarian law. We are an independent and neutral organization, and our mandate stems essentially from the Geneva Conventions of 1949. We work closely with National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and with their International Federation in order to ensure a concerted, rational and rapid humanitarian response to the needs of the victims of armed conflict or any other situation of internal violence. We direct and coordinate the international activities conducted in these situations.

Purpose

The Resource Mobilization Division (REM) manages the institutional relationship between ICRC and its various donors. A new strategy for ICRC Resource Mobilization 2020-2030 has been validated in December 2020 which aims to guide fundraising efforts at the ICRC. It established five strategic orientations that seek to address challenges identified today and prepare fundraising at the ICRC in the future. In this context, a large number of projects have started, impacting not only our systems but also processes, roles and responsibilities and ways of working, which require follow-up and coordination. The associate will act as “Project Management Officer” (PMO) REM Management Team on different ongoing projects with project management (PMO) and change management activities.
