**About the role**

Your role will be to contribute to the identification and characterization of chemical entities that will become the anticancer drugs of the future. We seek an experienced and motivated researcher who will contribute in pushing the boundaries of innovation with bold science by supporting in biochemistry different projects in the new and expanding field of radioligand therapy (RLT).
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead a biochemistry laboratory involved in drug discovery in the field of Oncology and supervision and mentoring of research associates
- Design innovative biochemical and biophysical assays that will be used in drug discovery, in particular in the field of protein-small molecule/peptides interactions. Supervise the profiling activities of several drug discovery programs
- Study and characterize new protein targets (an experience with membrane proteins would be an advantage) and study the mode of action of compounds/peptides.
- Flexibly adjust priorities to maximize rapid progress of programs with sense of urgency
- Represent the Biochemistry group in program teams. Work in a collaborative manner in multidisciplinary drug discovery teams at the interface with chemistry, structural biology and cell biology. Present in team meetings and other venues
- Keep track of scientific innovation and developments in the field of biochemistry/biophysics/drug discovery

**Role Requirements**
What you will bring to the role:
- PhD degree in biochemistry, biophysics or related discipline and strong foundation in protein biochemistry, biophysical characterization of proteins
- Previous experience gained from Industry in drug discovery will be an asset particularly in the field of protein-small molecules/peptides interactions
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in the development of biochemical (e.g. FI, TR-FRET, FP, AlphaScreen, SPA) and biophysical assays particularly Surface plasmon Resonance (SPR)
- Ability to design and interpret critical experiments
- Good written and oral communication skills in English. Organizational skills and ability to manage a laboratory. Ability to work in a collaborative manner with diverse multidisciplinary teams
