The Head of Finance, CGT is responsible for all financial planning, compliance and reporting and analysis for the BU with full P&L and Balance Sheet responsibility. The finance lead understands Lonza compliance standards and works closely with various groups. Takes a leading role in the Business Unit Leadership Team to set, implement and deliver on business objectives and strategies.

Key responsibilities
- Business Partner - analysis and decision support in the area of pricing, financial analysis for contract negotiations, supply contracts, modeling, project evaluations, costing, performance measures, training, strategic planning, business goal development
- Sets, implements and deliver on business objectives and strategies.
- Responsible for development and submission of the Financial & Business Plans, including all required actual and plan reporting, analyses and metrics.
- Shares global responsibility for BU financial and management accounting in accordance with IFRS, the Lonza Finance Accounting Manual (FAM), the Lonza Management Accounting Manual (MAM) and other required accounting principles
- Management of all relevant planning and analysis processes such as long term planning (BSR), annual budget, outlooks and forecasts, business modeling, monthly closing reporting, variance and analysis reporting, product costing, contribution reporting and others
- Analyses business performance, recommends benchmarks, and highlight the key areas of interest for improvement or monitoring
- Capital expenditure evaluations and submissions Supports due diligences and business integration; Oversee the financial growth and integration of new acquisitions to the DPS network and ensure system integration
- Responsible for reporting for BU. Monthly actual and plan reporting to Group & Division in accordance with IFRS, with responsibility for P&L, BS and CF reporting, including BSO oversight.
- Develops monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reports, including periodic forecasts and outlooks.
- Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies to ensure correct level of finance and wider staffing across the Organization
- Coaching and development of Junior finance team member / Analyst to ensure Business Continuity in key reporting tasks and support the development of the Finance talent pipeline.

Key requirements:

- Bachelor’s in Business Administration in the field of Finance and/or Accounting. MBA/CPA preferred. Must be business fluent in English
- Extensive experience in Finance and controlling multi-national, preferred pharma life sciences or chemical industry, ideally both commercial as well as operational exposure
- Financial planning and reporting skills in a manufacturing organization, cost analysis, budgeting.
- Leadership skills including people and functional leadership, change leader, embraces new initiatives and drives successful implementation, adapts thinking and behavior to support change, challenges status quo, manages ambiguity through effective communication, removes barriers and takes personal responsibility for promoting change in his/her area, Strong communication skills
- Translates corporate strategy into critical success factors and creates breakthrough implementation plans
- Demonstrates timely and accurate decision making, ensuring delegation or escalation where appropriate, develops inclusive relationships and alliances engaging internal and external stakeholders
- Inclusive leadership style, drives active participation, ensuring all voices are heard. Builds and effectively manages diverse teams to enhance Lonza’s global competitiveness and fuel innovation

- Leads multiple complex initiatives simultaneously to successful conclusion
