Director of Procurement

We are looking for a highly skilled Director of Procurement to lead and manage our Indirect procurement function with a Spend 2+ billion USD. As a Director of Indirect Procurement, you will be reporting the Chief Procurement Officer and responsible for developing and implementing the procurement strategy for TE’s indirect spend categories.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement the procurement strategy for indirect spend categories including but not limited to Equipment & Engineering Services, Spares & Supplies, Facility & Utilities, Travel, IT, and professional services.
- Manage and lead a team of procurement professionals to ensure the procurement process is efficient and effective, providing coaching and guidance as needed.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure the organization receives the best value for goods and services purchased.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to identify procurement needs and develop procurement plans to support business objectives.
- Develop and maintain procurement policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Monitor market trends and developments to ensure the organization is using the most cost-effective and innovative procurement practices.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and develop and implement action plans to achieve these goals.
- Manage and oversee procurement contracts and agreements, ensuring they are in line with the organization's procurement policies and procedures.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Engineering, or Information Systems.
- Certification in procurement (such as CSCP or CPSM) is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, with at least 5 years of experience in indirect procurement.
- Proven ability to develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives and drive cost savings.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience negotiating complex contracts.
- Experience managing supplier relationships and performance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing an organization.
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across the organization.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of procurement policies, procedures, and best practices.
