**About the job**:
A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
Our goal is to build a Google that looks like the world around us — and we want Googlers to stay and grow when they join us. As part of our efforts to build a Google for everyone, we build diversity, equity, and inclusion into our work and we aim to cultivate a sense of belonging throughout the company.
As a Technical Program Manager for Privacy and Trust Incident Response, you will be a trust anchor for our customers. You will be part of a team of professionals including Engineering, Communications, Legal and other key partners in Alphabet, focused on the investigation and resolution of reported incidents to a swift and solid closure. You'll shape the processes and tools for Alphabet-wide privacy incident management while maintaining a culture of trust, respect, and collaboration. You will be central to ensuring that Alphabet's products remain the most innovative, useful, and trusted guardians of user data in the world.
**Responsibilities**:
- Organize and lead response teams for privacy or user trust incidents - always with the utmost respect for our users’ data.
- Collaborate actively with Engineering towards improved product process, related policy decisions to prevent incidents, and on education initiatives to improve incident response readiness.
- Support automation, analysis, and tool improvement initiatives in support of reduced time to resolution for all incident types.
- Lead initiatives to improve our incident management and/or compliance processes.
- Lead prevention initiatives to mitigate any risks related to privacy, security, and user trust.
