Working with Process Automation, you will lead and contribute to complex business development projects and/or strategic planning for the Digital business.

**This position reports to**:
Division digital lead

**Your responsibilities**:

- Lead digital business strategy including preparation of strategy plans, working closely with the Division Head of Digital
- Define the key business development projects and identify whitespace in the market, including organic and inorganic
- Responsible for leading the M&A strategy for digital and working with corporate team to assess, review, prepare financial modelling and deliver presentations
- Support Gate 0 business plans with the portfolio management team
- Lead the strategic alliances, which will include technical and commercial (channels) partnerships and solution area partnerships such as OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturer) for Asset Performance Management
- Works with Product Marketing to develop comprehensive market research including competitive analysis, market intelligence and regional opportunities

**Your background**:

- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical field and minimum 15 years experience in the OT / software industry with focus on digitalization and the Internet of Things and deep understanding of relevant technologies and trends
- Masters Degree in Business Administration from a top tier university is preferred
- End to end development and presentation of strategy plans and implementation of the initiatives
- Experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) process and working with corporate teams on development of plans
- Proven experience with channel partner strategy and working with sales organization for indirect growth
- Understanding of software architecture and development as it relates to industrial IOT with ability to support partnerships with leading vendors
- Strong background in cloud and edge technologies, digital twins, analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning as applied to industrial software solutions
- Deep Experience in the industrial software environment; Division specific industry exposure (industrial automation/advanced software) preferred experience and background in either one or more of the Division industrial domains of Mining, Pulp & Paper, Metals, Food & Beverage
- Knowledge of solutions covering operational excellence, process performance including simulation, asset performance management, connected worker, sustainability solutions and cyber security
- Proven track record in customer focus, exposure to customer top management, strategy & business development, driving results and turning opportunities into sales successes
- Proven experience in driving digital development for complex global organizations, ideally in a B2B environment (Process, Energy, software, technology, automation)
- Excellent networking skills matured in a highly international organization, “leading by influence”
- Change management experience is a strong plus
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Availability to travel internationally as required
