Lead the Plasma Derived Therapies (PDT) First Liter and Albumin portfolio franchise for Europe and Canada by aligning the vision and strategy for the franchise in EUCAN, leading the franchise core team, being a champion for patient needs, building a community for shared learning and successful business performance across Local Operating Countries (LOCs) and representing the voice of the region and LOCs with global teams and other stakeholders.
**ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
Responsible for developing regional commercial strategies for the portfolio to guide countries towards successful execution and achievement of performance targets and long term brands and franchise ambition:
- Leads First Liter Portfolio Strategy and positioning with a clear prioritization of business opportunities within Region EUCAN, analyzes market trends and identifies new opportunities for a long-term sustainable growth, evaluating potential for geo expansion and new launches.
- Leads Albumin Portfolio Strategy with focus on repurposing regional strategic priorities in light of global supply optimization and changes in market dynamics, partners and negotiates with PDT Operations & Finance to agree on allocations to the EUCAN LOCs. Ensures continued local operational excellence and rigor to adhere to allocated volumes.
Evaluates commercial viability of new assets within the Region and informs Global Program Team (GPT ) decisions with regional commercial insights for Life Cycle Management initiatives. Represents EUCAN perspective so that global and region strategy, priorities and initiatives reflect EUCAN LOC needs.
Builds a cross-functional community for the franchise within EUCAN with broad participation across LOCs to ensure alignment on strategy, objectives and priorities and to instill shared learnings and best practice sharing.
As the commercial content expert regarding the therapeutic area, is deeply knowledgeable about the related disease, treatment approach, patient journey, competition, brand strategy and priorities. Provides consultation and problem solving with LOC teams to elevate performance, achieve performance targets and long term brand and franchise ambition.
**DIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS**:
**Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise**:
- Broad knowledge of the healthcare landscape across Europe including how to successfully commercialize assets, evolving trends and regulations. Expertise on how to formulate brand and franchise strategy and ability to translate into clear operational priorities..
- Experience leading a brand or franchise at either LOC/regional/global level, inspiring a team, securing and deploying resources and setting and achieving forecast targets. Experience in pharmaceutical marketing and/or sales. Knowledge of EU pricing and reimbursement systems. Experience with designing and interpreting market research. Ability to manage an annual budget. PDT experience and knowledge is a plus. Background in strategic planning, finance, and insights and analytics is a plus.
