Location: Europe, with a preference for countries such as Italy and Poland. The electronic Hardware Design Manager will lead development of embedded system hardware design (including basic firmwares) and PCBA engineering for Energy Distribution products line within Smart Building Division. They will be responsible for the planning and management of activities and resources across international R&D centers and external partners. They will be supporting the development of projects and identify the budget of the assigned functional area as well as supporting design changes, product improvement and enhancement during the product lifecycle. They will lead the Hardware system design to meet requirements, quality and targets for the product development projects. The role will report to the R&D Global Unit Lead.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Working in an agile international environment you will be responsible for the entire development process, from detailed requirements specification to the design of the required features and functionalities
- Supervise and contribute creating Hardware designs for Metering, protection, control devices and gateways
- Oversee and manage internal and external development teams involved in the project executions and responsible for the hardware release plans for the concerned product.
- Keeping up to date with technologies, tools and methods, and implementing initiatives to improve operation of the team and products time to market.
**Your background**:
- Successfully completed studies in computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable field complemented by several years of professional experience in the area of embedded software development.
- Experience with agile development methods,
- 3 years experience in team leadership of hardware development teams.
- English language written and spoken proficiency.
