Global IT is growing. Our Data & Analytics strategy is evolving.

The role is global in scope, based in Basel (Switzerland) and reports directly to the CIO. Working locations at Straumann subsidiaries or remote work within Europe can be considered.
**Key responsibilities**
- Develop a vision for the data analytics foundation in order to accelerate and scale business outcomes
- Build key data analytics infrastructure components to complement our existing SAP BW structure: visualization, advanced analytics (AI/ML), data marts and modelling, data management and data storage
- Design, create and maintain interconnected global data assets
- Promote self-service data analysis
- Provide analytics and reporting on products, customers, operations, and markets
- Ensure data privacy and security compliance across the entire data analytics foundation
- Be a thought leader in areas such as AI, machine learning and data science
**Ideal profile**
- Degree in Business, Economics, Data Science; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus
- 10+ years of experience in analytics, data science, business intelligence or comparable disciplines
- Proven experience successfully developing analytics-based solutions generated quantitative business impact
- Ability to develop data analytics platforms beyond SAP BI solutions
- Experience with statistical analytics tools such as R or Python
- Strong communication skills - must be able to explain technical concepts and analytics implications, and translate business objective into actionable analysis
- Experience working with Hyperscalers and other big data solutions
- Excellent analytical, technical and modelling skills to produce actionable customer insights
- Experienced in leading leaders and passionate about developing people and engaged teams
- Ability to influence and communicate effectively
- Ability to face and adapt to challenges to overcome them (resilience)
- Fluency in English is a must
