Internship in Carbon Capture Technology Development

**Job Description Summary**: The intern will be involved in the development of the GE carbon capture plant system integration with the natural gas combined cycle. As part of the carbon capture process, gas turbine flue gas must be cooled and cleaned with a direct contact cooler (DCC). Gas turbine exhaust gases contain a wide spectrum of pollutants, including NOx and SOx. This activity will assist us expand our understanding of acid gas production in the DCC.
This Internship opportunity is ideal for engineering students who have specialized in and have a strong interest in chemical engineering, process engineering, chemistry, and mechanical engineering.

The applicant meets the following technical qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, mechanical engineering, or energy technology is required, or equivalent knowledge or experience;
- Possesses a comprehensive understanding of chemical reactions, heat transmission mechanisms, and a thorough knowledge of thermodynamics;
- Proficiency in a process simulation platform such as Aspen Plus or Hysys is required.
- Proficient in English language, both spoken and written.
