Junior Project Planner

**Scope of the Role**:
Mercury are looking for a Junior Project Planner to be a part of both Planning and Divisional Management teams within the company. Reporting to the Group Planning Manager and Divisional MD, you will be responsible for all aspects of Planning within the Division whilst advising and supporting Divisional & SBD Management Teams.

**Key Responsibilities of the Role**:

- Main reporting line to Group Planning Manager
- Also reports directly to Divisional Managing Director
- Member of the Planning Department Management Team
- Member of the Divisional Management team
- Advising and supporting Divisional & SBU Management teams
- Responsible for all aspects of Planning within the Division
- Reporting to EMT on Planning KPIs on behalf of Divisional Management team
- Assessing and reporting on schedule risk levels
- Hiring, managing, training, coaching, supporting, developing, leading Planning staff
- Promoting Schedule Literacy
- Providing training for MDs, OMs, PMs, CMs & construction teams in Planning related topics
- Communicating with the Client in support of the business
- Responsible for implementing the Planning SOPs
- Ensuring that appropriate Planning & Progress systems are in place on each project
- Troubleshooting any Planning related issues
- Supporting and advising on bids and tenders including project selection process
- Assisting in the preparation of claims and providing data for contractual disputes
- Advising on and developing best practice for the company
- Improving and advancing Planning within the company
- Assisting with Planning Department innovation initiatives
- Covering Group Planning Manager responsibilities when required
- Covering Planning Manager / Senior Planner responsibilities when required
- Travelling to projects, as required, to carry out the above duties
- In all aspects, maintaining objectivity and factual reporting
- Assuming roles as part of the Planning Department Management Team subsidiary functions
- All other duties associated with the role

**Essential Criteria for the Role**:

- Relevant degree/ qualification in engineering, project management or planning
- 2 years+ experience working in a Project Planning/ Junior Planner role for Engineering/ large scale projects
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- Experience with Data Centres is also an advantage

Mercury ist auf der Suche nach einem Junior-Projektplaner, der Teil der Planungs
- und Abteilungsmanagementteams des Unternehmens wird. Sie berichten an den Group Planning Manager und Divisional MD und sind für alle Aspekte der Planung innerhalb der Division verantwortlich, während Sie Divisions
- und SBD-M
