Underwriting Assistant Reinsurance Aerospace

We are looking for an experienced Underwriting Assistant. You will work as part of of the Aviation Reinsurance Underwriting Team, and in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, administrate and service new and renewal business.

You will have the opportunity to support a growing book of business in an established underwriting team by performing all manor of adminastative tasks enabling the continuation of day-to-day business.

What will your essential responsibilities include?
- Smooth administrative support for our Aviation Reinsurance team supporting the renewal of the existing portfolio
- Ensure that all information is entered on the respective underwriting, pricing and data storage systems and is kept up to date and accurate
- Assume responsibility for data input/monitoring of our in house aggregation tool
- Handling correspondence with brokers, clients and internal discussions
- Collaboration with claims, accounting and other internal departments to ensure various internal portfolio regulations are in order
- Promptly process slips and wordings, monitoring and assisting premium and claims queries from various clients

**SHARE your talent**

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

- Fluency in English, any additional European language is of advantage
- Basic understanding of the re/insurance industry; prior experience in an underwriting assistant role is a plus
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office programs
- Strong organizing skills, including effective scheduling, prioritization and time management skills. Able to complete tasks to tight deadlines. Demonstration of a ‘can do’ attitude, even under demanding circumstances
- Ability to perform in a pressurized environment and adjusting comfortably to changing conditions and priorities, especially during the busy renewal season
- Comfortable taking ownership for work, identifying the need for action whilst working effectively within a team demonstrating and logical skills and an ability to make decisions independently, using own judgment
- Strong attention to detail needed
