**Job Description**:
As an Area Controller Trainee, you work close to the core of our business - Our Stores. Your main objective is to drive sales and profitability growth in your area, covering approximately 20-30 stores. In your role, you develop the salesmanship and profitability mindset of all colleagues. Together with your Team you are responsible for maximizing the profit in your Area by improving customer service, driving selling and securing operational routines and guidelines are followed.

As an Area Controller trainee, you will learn the tasks of the Area Controller step by step, which are:

- analyzing and working actively with store KPIs and take appropriate measures to achieve company goals
- Follow up store performance and share learnings with the Area Team and other important stakeholders
- On site visits in stores to ensure excellent customer experience and evaluate further actions
- Together with your team and the store managers you are responsible for reaching the Sales & Profit goals in your Area
- Set the budgets for financial sales plan, efficiency KPI’s and store costs together with stores
- Support Stores in financial sales planning accuracy with the aim to improve efficiency and service levels
- Collaborate with other departments such as Merchandising to review and optimize allocation parameters
- Coordinate with Country Controller, Area HR and Area Manager to ensure recruitment and training of controlling talents in order to support the business needs

- understanding of operations in physical stores
- strong analytical skills and ability to set up a business case and calculating return on investment
- strong project management skills - structured, organized, updating timelines, making sure that deadlines are kept and deliverables meet requirements
- the ability of being a natural leader with an ability to inspire others to perform at their very best
- a strong business mindset, great communication skills and you are a true team player
- excellent Excel skills and Power BI experience
- Formal education or currently studying within a quantitative field such as Business/Economics or Finance
- Very good knowledge in English and German or Slovenian or French (knowledge of Italian is an advantage).
