dsm-firmenich are looking for a highly driven and motivated Scientist. You will join the Analytical Sciences department in Kaiseraugst, part of Science & Research division, and contribute to our innovation projects success.

**Your key responsibilities**:

- Plan, prioritize and execute experiments to address prominent technical questions and build scientific knowledge
- Contribute to the technical and scientific development the team
- Collaborate on multidisciplinary and cross-site innovation projects with internal and external partners.
- Communicate scientific results and project progress effectively
- Build strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders

**You bring**:

- PhD or post-doctoral degree in analytical chemistry, with ideally 3-5 years of experience in industry or equivalent and sound understanding of organic chemistry; solid knowledge in food and formulation technologies is an advantage.
- Strong practical and theoretical background on (quantitative) LC -(HR)MS for targeted and untargeted analysis is a must, with track record on advanced data processing, statistical data analysis and validation of analytical methods
- Interest in automation of workflows in an analytical laboratory and sound knowledge of different chromatographic data system software (_e.g_. ChromeleonTM, Sciex OS) and coding (Python, R) is a plus.
- Creativity and an open mind to solve complex analytical problems following a rigorous scientific approach.
- Excellent team spirit, communication, inter-domain knowledge, organization skills and networking capacity.
- Fluent in English. Good knowledge of German language skills would be an advantage.
