At ECOFACT, we provide our clients with the knowledge required to navigate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risks and opportunities. We work primarily for banks, insurers, institutional investors, and international standard-setters. By combining market-leading research with unique advisory experience, we strive to be a catalyst in the transition towards a sustainable economy. We help clients to understand regulatory developments pertaining to sustainable finance and corporate responsibility, and assist them in building ESG risk frameworks, as well as offering due diligence and risk management solutions. Founded in 1998 as a spin-off from a leading Swiss bank, ECOFACT is a fully independent firm based in Zurich.

We are looking for a Sustainable Finance Advisor & Business Development Professional (80%-100%) to support our team of legal and regulatory experts. The team is responsible for advising ECOFACT clients on sustainable finance and corporate responsibility as well as maintaining the Policy Outlook, which is the world’s most comprehensive regulatory research service pertaining to sustainable finance and corporate responsibility. In this role, you will also help the Client Solutions team to identify and assess market trends and business opportunities.

Tasks

As a Sustainable Finance Advisor & Business Development Professional, you will:

- lead and support a variety of regulatory advisory projects together with our team of legal and regulatory experts
- contribute to ECOFACT’s marketing content, including summarizing key regulatory developments
- participate in client meetings, conferences, and webinars
- assist the Client Solutions team in continuing to develop ECOFACT’s services, products, and compelling offers and proposals; and
- identify market trends, client needs, and new business opportunities in the financial market

**Requirements**:
**You are**:

- a motivated self-starter
- fluent in German (C2 - spoken and written) and English (C1 - spoken and written); and
- experienced in the legal aspects of sustainable finance, human rights, and corporate responsibility.

**You must have**:

- advanced studies (university or university of applied sciences) in sustainability, law, economics, and/or business
- work experience in project management; consulting experience would be an advantage
- profound knowledge of sustainable finance and the regulatory framework applicable to financial products and services
- the ability to translate the findings of our technical research on regulatory developments

into practical actions by demonstrating their implications to our clients
- strong analytical, conceptual, and communicative skills
- the ability to take the initiative, work independently, and manage priorities
- extensive experience working with PowerPoint and other MS Office tools; and
- a valid Swiss work permit or EU citizenship.
