At ECOFACT, we provide our clients with the knowledge required to navigate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risks and opportunities. We work primarily for banks, insurers, institutional investors, and international standard-setters. We help clients to understand regulatory developments pertaining to sustainable finance and
corporate responsibility, and assist them in building ESG risk frameworks, as well as offering due diligence and risk management solutions. Founded in 1998 as a spin-off from a leading Swiss bank, ECOFACT is a fully independent firm based in Zurich.

About the role

We are looking for a Sustainable Finance Expert (100%) to join our Regulatory Team of legal and climate experts as soon as possible. The Regulatory Team is responsible for advising ECOFACT clients as well as maintaining Policy Outlook, which is the world’s most comprehensive regulatory research service about sustainable finance and corporate responsibility.

Tasks

**As a Sustainable Finance Expert, you will**:

- provide sustainable finance expertise on a variety of client projects;
- contribute to ECOFACT’s research by writing Policy Outlook entries summarizing key regulatory developments in the areas of sustainable finance and corporate

responsibility; and
- help to organize and run webinars and conferences.

**Requirements**:
**You are**:

- fluent in English (spoken and written);
- happy to work both independently and as part of a team;
- comfortable managing multiple priorities;
- highly motivated and reliable; and
- comfortable in an agile environment where priorities may change.

**You must have**:

- at least 1-2 years (more is even better) of practical experience in the area of sustainable finance regulation (e.g. SFDR, EU Taxonomy, and MIFID II);
- a full degree in one of the following fields: law, international relations, economics, or finance;
- in-depth knowledge of the regulatory framework applicable to financial products and services;
- strong document drafting skills;
- the ability to translate technical regulatory information into practical actions by

demonstrating its implications to our clients;
- a high attention to detail; and
- a valid Swiss work permit or EU citizenship.

**You earn extra points if you are/have**:

- proficient in other languages;
- consulting or project management experience;
- strong PowerPoint and presentation skills; and
- a desire to take the initiative and claim ownership.
