**Your mission**:
The aim of the EPFL Blue Brain Project (BBP), a Swiss brain research initiative founded and directed by Professor Henry Markram, is to establish simulation neuroscience as a complementary approach alongside experimental, theoretical and clinical neuroscience to understanding the brain, by building the world's first biologically detailed digital reconstructions and simulations of the mouse brain.
**The position**: Astrocyte and Vascular Postdoctoral Scholar W/M is open to reinforce the Molecular Systems team.
**Main duties and responsibilities include**:
The Blue Brain Project at EPFL is looking for a Postdoctoral Scholar with competence and experiences in cellular or reaction modelling as well as computational geometry. Knowledge of python and C++ is required. This position involves incorporating and modelling astrocytes from various brain regions within the context of a large-scale brain simulation.

**Your profile**:
PhD in Science or Engineering
Knowledge of numerical solution of differential equations is necessary.
Familiarity with modern software practices such as automated continuous integration, code review and documentation, and collaborative software development is also advantageous.
Willingness and demonstrated ability to actively collaborate and work with other scientists and engineers is also desirable.
Fluent communication in English (written and spoken).
