To complete our team, we are looking for a:
**Director of People and Culture**
To co-create with all appropriate constituencies, implement and drive a people strategy that establishes a mutually supportive and predictable relationship between Ecolint and each member of staff at every stage of their employment lifecycle;
- The Director of People and Culture, who is a member of the Conférence des Directeurs and part of the senior leadership team, will take a leadership role in ensuring that Ecolint respects, affirms and protects the dignity and worth of each member of the community as well as establishing independent measures to confirm this is the lived experience of all who choose to work at Ecolint.

**Key Criteria for Success**
- Establish credibility and strong, collaborative relationships with key constituents (the staff association, unions and Board members, etc.);
- Strengthen, support and harmonize the HR campus partner role while allowing for the professional growth and autonomy;
- Audit all policies, processes and systems related to people operations to ensure they are clearly articulated and consistently applied, conform to legal requirements and, upon completion, identify development and improvement;
- Develop a policy on the principles and philosophy of compensation and benefits and oversee the implementation of the policy;
**Key responsibilities**

**Ensures legal compliance**
- Implements and monitors Key Risk Indicators in order to drive data driven adjustments and decisions;
- Handles case management in the best interest of the Foundation while ensuring all decisions are compliant with the law, Ecolint's policies, accreditation standards and the collective employment agreement.

**Ensures the accuracy and integrity of all people data**
- Has the ownership of the people operations information maintained and ensures it is kept up to date and in compliance with policies and legal protections of privacy.

**Leads innovation**
- Encourages and drives the people operations projects in order to improve the processes, including the employee interface and experience with people operations.

**Leads and manages staff**
- Appraises all members of the people operations team with an evaluation and appraisal systems which follow the growth and the development of the capacities at Ecolint;
- Builds and leads the people operations department while delegating as appropriate to allow staff to be recruited, inducted, managed, and advised and to enable Ecolint to achieve its mission;
- Ensures a rigorous hiring process both in terms of effectiveness, fairness, and transparency as well as compliant (work permits, reference checks, criminal record checks, child safeguarding, etc.) to attract and hire a talented and diverse workforce.

**Manage communications and build relationships**
- Acts as a key agent and facilitator to adapt or change the culture according to the strategy of the School;
- Acts as a facilitator to assist in conflict resolution;
- Makes sure all changes, policies and processes are understood, timely and well communicated;
- Handles the Welcome days event for new joiners;
- Organizes operations workshops for staff and management to keep their skills up to date.

**Budget and payroll management**
- Owns and monitors the people operations budget with a constant view to increase quality while being cost efficient;
- Oversees payroll. Ensures controls are effective.

**Other commitments**
- Handles the relationship with the Staff Association in a constructive way through involvement in the Commissions de Campus and quarterly meetings of the Commission Paritaire;
**Supports the organizational structure**
- Supports the Director General and the members of the Conférence des Directeurs in implementing Ecolint's strategic objectives with emphasis on inclusion through diversity, equity and antiracism.

**Requirements**:

- A university degree;
- Full professional fluency (C2) in both English and French;
- Experience working in an educational or non-profit organization, ideally within Switzerland or Europe is a clear advantage;
- Swiss _Brevet fédéral de spécialiste en ressources humaines_ and demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the _Code des obligations_;
- Experience working with labor unions and staff associations, especially successfully negotiating collective employment agreements;
- A strong track record of success in leading and managing people operations, gained in organizations of comparable scale and complexity to Ecolint;
- Proven experience, in a senior leadership and management role, of successfully implementing complex people and culture operations projects that impact hundreds of staff members and change working culture and conditions;
- Personal alignment with Ecolint's mission and values and highly developed interpersonal skills and cross-cultural competency;
- Experience building, nurturing and managing diverse and talented high functioning people operations teams;
