Head of Finance Shared Infrastructure

This key position is embedded in Global Finance Operation and plays a critical role in exercising effectively across two Site Visp (Switzerland) and Nansha (China) in advising the site leadership teams in all financial matters. In close collaboration with the Site Manger Visp impact the strategy of the Shared Infrastructure organization. Further, this role requires deep knowledge about cost-, project
- and allocation management, defining leading KPI’s to measure effectiveness, foster lean thinking and oversee improvement programs. The incumbent of this position has to be excellent in analytical thinking, communication, presenting complex topics to top management and able to build and maintain relations across the organizations.

Key responsibilities:

- Running the day to day operation for SI Visp and oversee Nansha performance and the role works close with the Division & Site Operation Controllers
- Lead the Site SI Visp Finance Team and be a Member of the Site Leadership Team (biggest Site in the Network of Lonza).
- Controller and Finance lead for the Site SI Leadership team
- Drive strategic thinking and innovation management
- Management 3rd party service providers and control service delivery to internal and external customers
- Set, implement and deliver on business objectives; analysis of performance to identify key drivers; influence teams to deliver challenging targets
- Drive with department leaders innovations and efficiency programs
- Foster exchange with Ops Controller in the Divisions/Bu’s and guide for performance management
- Lead, target and outlook process for his accountable area. Prepare BSR (mid-term plans) with department leaders and monitor progress
- Drive automation and simplification for the SI framework reporting (e.g. Dashboards)
- Ensure compliance with Lonza accounting standards as well as IFRS; represent the Global Operation Head in audit and accounting guidance

Key requirements:

- Master in Business Administration in Finance and/or Accounting
- Advanced years of experience within Finance
- Fluency in German is a MUST & fluent in English
- Bias towards action and results delivery which are critical in a highly performance oriented environment
- Clear and concise written and oral communication
- Strong formal and informal leadership skills to effectively define and implement a functional agenda
- Strong Customer focused skills required
- Exceptional analytical skills to support complex business analysis including commercial deals
