This position is embedded in Corporate Finance and plays a critical role in exercising effective group-wide governance in management accounting to ensure transparent, reliable and accurate internal management reporting across all Divisions. The job holder ensures that global business requirements are translated into comprehensive and standardized management accounting concepts and is accountable from design to implementation. In addition he/she drives simplification in the area of overhead and product costing in anticipation of S4/HANA implementation.
Key responsibilities:
- Translates global business requirements in the area of management accounting into standard concepts and assess impact of business processes integration; accountable from design to implementation
- Drives simplification, standardization of complex product and service cost accounting/controlling processes ahead of SAP S4 Hana implementation
- Strong business partnering with Division Controlling; Global Operations Controlling, Corp. FP&A, Group IT, GBSO and Supply Chain
- Works closely with GPO Site Controlling for the implementation of management accounting concepts
- Oversees the adherence to overhead accounting concepts ( cost element, cost center, internal order, allocations, activity types)
- Supports the definition of the Management Performance Structure for effective business steering
- Establishes training materials for controlling concepts and processes and provides trainings
Key requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in finance/accounting/controlling, Master preferred
- Extensive working experience in production controlling/group controlling in the Life Science industry
- Strong knowledge of Managerial Accounting/Controlling concepts, processes and best practices
- Effective business partnering and strong advisory skills within a matrix business setting
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to summarize complex problems in a clear, concise, accurate, and unambiguous way to be presented to senior management
- In-depth knowledge of SAP CO; good understanding of FI and Production (Supply Chain, Material Management)
