**Trading Business Controller EMEA
**Responsibilities:
**Financial reporting**
- Review of individual business and financial results of the Trading Department in the EMEA region and the SHIPPING function in order to qualify them vs budget, prior year and reforecasts mainly (variance analysis)
- Production of management performance decks to analyzing the performance of the EMEA region and the SHIPPING function.
- Preparation of required management comments for monthly reporting, budget and rolling forecasts
- Contribution to the organization and the coordination of the budget and forecast processes, in close liaison with the various concerned parties in the EMEA and SHIPPING; and finance stakeholders (e.g. Accounting, Treasury and Risk Management).
- Analysis of Net Sales, Cash Flow and SNWC for EMEA and SHIPPING.
- Contribution to other initiatives that result in Value Creation to the Group.
- Supervision of the Net Working Capital evolution, DSO, DAP and Accounts Receivables of the EMEA and SHIPPING, in close liaison with the Credit Risk Officer, including an active participation to the Credit Committee meetings.

**Support to Trading Function**
- Monitoring of Trading gross margins (per product, customer, contract and shipment) and analysis of variances against budget/forecast/prior year (price/volume/costs effects), in close liaison with the Trading Managers and the Shipping Department
- Analysis of the Key Performance Indicators, including the production of regular Trading dashboards (on volumes, selling prices, purchase prices, freight costs, unit margin, margin over sales)
- Support to the Head of Trading EMEA for specific studies and investigations, including the financial analysis of business opportunities and profitability assessment of contracts.
- Support to the Head of Shipping for specific studies and investigations such as freight cost, profitability per chartered vessel, etc.
- In close relation with the Risk Management & Internal Control Dpt., monitor the compliance of the processes by the Trading Function in EMEA region and SHIPPING function, and the definition and evolution of the Process Performance Indicators (PPIs).
- Close understanding and follow-up of shipping operations impacting the Trading activity, including the analysis of major deviations against scheduling/forecast (e.g. delays, demurrages, claims)
- Supervision of the Net Working Capital evolution and Accounts Receivables of the EMEA region and SHIPPING function, in close liaison with the Credit Manager, including an active participation to the monthly Credit Committee meetings.
**Business Development & Risk Management**
- Contribution to Development projects for the financial part upon request from the Head of Trading, in coordination with the CFO.
- Support in the management of the internal control system and Risk Management.
- Support on the internal and external audit requirements for the EMEA region and SHIPPING function.
- Support on the update of process documentation (narratives and flowcharts) and review of controls design.
***Other**
- Support on the tax queries pertaining the business metrics for the Miami and Singapore offices.
- Specific studies and projects: Upon request of the CFO, lead and/or contribute to studies and projects requiring specifically but not solely financial competencies, like external developments or divestments.

Education/Qualifications:
Business School / University degree with focus on Finance

**Experience**:
Several years’ professional experience in Controlling / Finance. Background in Accounting is a plus.
