**Job **Description**
The position of Operational Risk Manager is in the Operational Risk Function is a second line of defence function with the responsibly to provide oversight of operational risk management and control activities performed by the first line of defence. To do so, the Operational Risk function engages in advisory as well as control testing activities and reporting to the Bank’s governing bodies. Most team members are located in Switzerland with global outreach and are interacting closely with regional operational risk managers located abroad.
**Main responsibilities**
Development, implementation and execution of second line of defense activities.
- Advisory support to Business Units in understanding and executing first line of defence controls, reviewing the Internal Control Framework (process review, risks identification and control design) with focus on Private Banking, Global Markets and Treasury Divisions as well as the business support functions.
- Control oversight through testing of controls.
- Ad hoc risk assessment and analysis, e.g. in the context of new products: identification of issues, proposal of efficient mitigating measures, reporting and presentation of results to Operational Risk Management and other relevant stakeholders.
- Incident analysis: determination of root causes, identification of mitigating actions and follow up.
- Active participation in deploying new digital solutions to support the implementation of the internal control system globally.
**Skills and experience**
- University degree in business administration, economics, science or similar.
- 5-7 years of working experience, including consulting or audit at a leading professional services firm and/or in a comparable position at a market leading bank.
- Team player with strong communication skills in combination with experience and proven capabilities for writing reports to a senior audience.
- Excellent analytical skills, structured approach to problem solving and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, in English, both written and spoken.
- Capacity to work autonomously and as part of a global team in a fast paced environment.
