Daedalean is a Zürich-based startup founded by engineers who want to completely revolutionize urban air travel within the next decade. We combine computer vision, deep learning, and robotics to develop full “level-5” autonomy for flying vehicles, both the existing aircraft as well as the electric VTOLs that you may have seen in the media.
Your role:
- To take responsibility for building up and maintaining the data tools that the annotators use every day. Our annotation tools are built in-house requiring a strong technical and engineering background to keep them progressing. You collect requirements from both the “data producers” (i.e. the annotations team) as well as the “data consumers” (i.e. the Machine Learning teams) and ensure timely execution of those improvements - either by implementing the changes yourself or managing other software engineers.
**Requirements**:
- 3+ years of experience in managing software development teams.
- Experience in managing distributed and remote teams.
- Knowledge of our annotation tooling tech stack (Python, React, JavaScript, Django, Bash).
- Work extensive periods of the year from our Zurich office to ensure close alignment with the “data consumers”.
- Fluent in both English and Russian.
- Aviation background preferred.
- Tech start-up experience preferred.
