**Project / Role**:
For our client, a large pharmaceutical company based in Basel, we are looking for a Production Expert (M/F/d) Ocular Unit in the Syringe Devices value stream
**Background**:
With its 1,400 employees, the Kaiseraugst Production Center (PTGA) ensures uninterrupted patient supply with high-quality medicines. PTGA stands for the highest standards of pharmaceutical manufacturing, Roche's largest, most innovative packaging center and supplies more than 120 countries. In this production area, medicines are manufactured that are administered intravitreally (into the eyeball) to the patient. These are pre-filled syringes that
are labeled, assembled into a device combination product and blister-packed.
**Tasks & responsibilities**:
- Helping to design and build the new Ocular Unit in Kaiseraugst
- Operating the systems for assembling and blister packing syringes under clean room conditions (Zones C and D)
- Training new colleagues
- Inspecting the manufactured blisters for potential defects
- Cleaning and maintaining machines, equipment and premises
- Carrying out in-process controls
- Carrying out conversion activities such as the conversion/changeover of individual machines and/or format changes
- GMP-compliant documentation using electronic systems
**Must Haves**:
- Completed vocational training as a pharmaceutical or chemical technologist or comparable training (pharmaceuticals/technology/mechanics)
- At least 2 years of experience in the manufacture of sterile medicinal products
- Experience in the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) environment (work/documentation)
- Willingness to work in a fully continuous shift model (7 days/24 hours), which changes over time
- Good eyesight, an eye test will be carried out as part of the recruitment process, which is necessary for visual control
- Fluent written and spoken German
- Flexibility, team spirit, strong sense of responsibility, precise working methods and reliability even under time pressure
- Enjoyment of practical work
- Good technical understanding of how to deal with production systems

- Strong teamwork skills and solution orientation as well as collaborative working methods
- Ability and openness to recognize and live the opportunities and advantages of change.
