Head of Finance

xorlab is a Swiss cybersecurity scale-up and ETH Zurich spin-off with currently 40 employees, poised for significant European expansion and future global outreach. With our cutting-edge technology and a dedicated team, we protect our customers by addressing one of the most pressing threats in cybersecurity: phishing.

As we prepare for the next stage of our growth, we are looking for a visionary Head of Finance & Operations to lead our operations and contribute to our evolution and success.

As the Head of Finance & Operations, you will oversee our finances while playing a pivotal role in scaling our operations across Europe. You will lead a team distributed between our Zurich and Warsaw offices, ensuring operational excellence and strategic alignment in all aspects of the company.

Working closely with the CEO and the rest of the leadership team, you will deal with many tasks that enable daily business operations and projects to scale up, automate and standardize processes. You and your team have succeeded when everything runs smoothly, letting the other teams perform optimally in their key areas.

Tasks
- Financial Oversight: Work closely with the finance lead and external accountant to manage budgets, forecast financial outcomes, and together with the CEO ensure the financial health of the company.
- Strategic Leadership: Drive the operational strategy with a clear vision aligned to the company’s goals.
- Team Management: Lead, inspire, and manage a small team of 2 people, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and alignment with broader business objectives.
- Governance, Board and Shareholder Relations: Support the chairman and CEO with all board and shareholder related matters from board meetings to shareholder reporting and the organization of AGMs (Annual General Meetings).
- Legal and Compliance: Ensure all company operations adhere to legal standards and handle all legal matters with the support of our external lawyers.
- Human Resources and Office Management: Together with your team, you will also be responsible for the hiring process, all HR related topics and the management of our offices.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, General Management, Accounting and Corporate Finance, or Economics (or equivalent)
- 5 - 10 years of work experience in a start-up or scale-up environment
- Hands-on mentality and willigness to work on a lot of operational tasks
- Broad interest for all responsibilities mentioned above and with the desire to take ownership and a “figure it out” mindset
- Ambitious professional eager to grow with a scaling company
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong financial acumen and a passion for business operations
- Excellent leadership skills and the desire to continuously learn and grow
- Fluent in German, with proficiency in English
- Leadership, finance and business operations experience within the technology sector is a plus
