This Intern position combines in-depth training and skills development with exposure to various aspects of Lonza’s Global Engineering Functions Department. The Intern is responsible to support the execution of Eng. Functions key initiatives, the implementation of process improvement programs, overall program management (PMO).

During the internship the Intern will gain a broad perspective within GE. The assignment of responsibilities and projects depends on current business needs and on the Trainee’s skills and interests as well as potential thesis topics.

Key responsibilities:

- Support preparation of the GE reporting (collection of information, data analysis, graphical visualization, follow-up actions)
- Support ongoing Eng. Functions improvement programs (implementation & tracking)
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, simplification and automation. Drive “share & reapply” of best practices.
- Support organization of internal workshops and communications (agendas, meeting minutes, action lists, etc); support engagement & collaboration initiatives
- Support the Eng. Functions Lead Team Members for ad hoc requests
- Cooperate closely with business partners from other corporate functions or stakeholders in several areas of Project management in a collaborative setting
