**General Manager (Data Scientist)**
**60-100 % (initially until June 30, 2026) **:The CLDS pursues the following high-level goals:
- Facilitating interdisciplinary legal research and teaching involving quantitative methods on a national and international level.
The three working areas of the CLDS are:
- empirical legal research,
- fundamental research in the working areas of the CLDS.
**Your responsibilities**: The General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the recently established CLDS.
- a Ph.D. in economics, data science, statistics or related quantitiave field,
- very good knowledge in statistics,
- experience in conceptualizing and carrying empirical research projects,
- excellent knowledge of at leasit one (statistical) software package (R, Stata, Python),
- empirical research pbulicatons/projects,
- very good writen and oral command of English,
- experience in the successful acquisition of third-party funding would be an asset,
- knowledge of German would be an asset.
**What we offer**: We offer a challenging management and research position with flexible working hours in a small, motivated and interdisciplinary team. The position entails the opportunity to develop and carry out own research projects, engage in collaboration with reserachers from the UZH Law Faculty as well as from other national and international institutions. We offer the opportunity to participate in continuing education.
