Associate Director, Global Logistics

**The Role**:
The Associate Director of Global Logistics Project Resilience is a newly created position responsible to lead the Global Logistics Workstream in Moderna’s Resilience project to establish 3 manufacturing sites in Australia, Canada and UK. He/She must ensure that the logistics set-up is an accurate reflection of the business requirements and in line with regulatory requirements (GDP/GMP/Cold Chain). In this role, the Associate Director of Global Logistics Project Resilience will be responsible for the design and process review of all Global Logistics process (Distribution, Logistics Engineering/Cold Chain, Trade Compliance) and also provide central logistics support for shipments needed during implementation.

**Here’s What You’ll Do**:
Lead Global Logistics Workstream for program Resilience new manufacturing sites in AU, CA, UK

Ensure an efficient material flow in and out of new Resilience plants

Act as Technical Transfer lead for Distribution and Cold Chain operations

Implement distribution and handling processes as well as packaging solutions

Partner with trade compliance to make sure processes follow import and export regulations

Work closely with other workstreams and stakeholders to ensure business and compliance requirements are reflected in all logistics processes

Drive development of interaction between systems and processes

Update and implement GMP/GDP compliance SOPs and Business Process documentation - internally and with 3rd Party Logistics providers

Ensure processes are adherent to Health Authority requirements and guidelines, such as Good Distribution and Storage Practices based on commercial demands and product portfolio

**Implement GDP compliant end to end shipping concepts**: handling of goods, shipping validation and customs clearance, etc.

Optimize the cost to serve and ensures efficient management of logistics-related activities

**Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table**:
**Education**: University degree in technology, engineering, or management/business administration

**Experience**: 8-10 years (BS) or 5-8 years (MS) in various Distribution/Logistics functions and Supply Chain

Strong preference towards Pharmaceutical and Biotech experience. Experience working in a cGMP and cGDP environment

Good understanding of the Pharma industry & its different Supply Chain areas

Experience and proficient knowledge of project management, risk management methodologies and monitoring techniques

Experience and knowledge of cold chain technology, tools, shipping validation and distribution.

Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) to effectively collaborate and communicate with senior CMC Management in a dynamic, cross-functional matrix environment

APICS certification (Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD)) is a plus

Well organized - a natural ability to be organized in how you think, communicate and conduct your work
