As a Technical Sales Support Manager, Shore Connection at ABB Marine & Ports business line, located in one of our European service units, including Rotterdam, Milan or Marseille. The landside side Shore Connection system is part of the Decarbonization Service portfolio and includes a wide range of solutions from low voltage to medium voltage connections, static frequency conversion, automation and energy storage for passenger and cargo terminals. Your role will be to lead the creation of technical tender material and find optimal solutions for each project. The cost calculations will be done together with the local bid team and our operations center. **This position reports to**:
Service Product Group Manager
**Your responsibilities**:
- Preparing bids for land-based shore connection systems based on customers specification or requirements
- Lead the technical bid team consisting of local ABB units and the operations center
- Building and developing relationships with key customers and stakeholders
- Help drive the development of relevant products and solutions
- Propose alternative shore connection system designs to internal stakeholders, including functional design, operation and safety
- Determining qualification agreements for component suppliers together with Supply Chain Management function and Product Management
**Your background**:
- Bachelor of Science or Masters of Science degree in electrical or automation engineering. Alternatively, relevant experience can be considered
- Several years of work experience related to electrical power systems sales, technical sales support or product management
- Willingness to take ownership and responsibility
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Business and customer orientation
- Excellent English skills
- Ideally, you have prior knowledge of shore connection systems and experience in working in an international environment
