- In Global Drug Development (GDD) in Basel, Switzerland, we are looking for a digital/technology and organizational savvy Administrative Professional, with high level of proactiveness and professionalism, as he/she will be dealing with many different stakeholders and HCPs. The role will offer opportunities for growth: It will allow space for own initiative and allow creativity and plenty of opportunities for personal and professional growth. - Major responsibilities:
- General administrative support: Independently takes care of general administrative tasks and maintains the administrative processes also in case of absence of the line manager/team members (what is given, e.g. independent writing of correspondence, preparation of a draft for a presentation or a table after basic instructions, filing, appointment coordination for the department, database administration, supervising relatively demanding processes, e.g. target/actual comparisons, budget, checking of invoices, set up of statistics with a template, deputizing for administrative staff, meeting preparation and writing of simple minutes)
- Interaction: Informs, advises and supports the team and associates from outside the team on processes, guidelines and services that are specific to the department.
- Work processes in own area of responsibility: Supports optimization of current processes and/or introduction of new or modified processes.
- Handling of administrative projects*: Acts as a team member for administrative projects (e.g. organization of special events) and manages the administrative part of special tasks.
- Supervisory tasks: Guarantees a smooth adjustment to the job of new employees in the own area of responsibility. Takes over supervising for colleagues in the administrative area (e.g. apprentices, new employees etc.)

**Minimum requirements**
- Commercial training (e.g. Swiss Association of Commercial Employees, business school) or equivalent (e.g. other vocational qualification, must have very good administrative skills/experience)
- Experience as „Administrative Specialist“ or additional career training
- Good written and spoken English, knowledge of other languages (e.g. German and/or French) advantageous
- Excellent communication skills
- Enthusiastic, very well organised individual, with a very collaborative and professional mindset
- Solution oriented individual, with a high levels of proactiveness
