**Job Description Summary**: The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for driving quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation. Select suppliers through qualification processes. Own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards. Own supplier audits, ensuring compliance, and driving improvement plans where needed. In-depht understanding of key business drivers, uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how to his work integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

Your Tasks
- Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development, including supplier qualifications, action plan, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence. Collect and report Supplier Quality KPIs.
- Develop operating rhythms by coordinating with sourcing, Industrialization, R&D and engineering leaders to drive standardization, rigor, and efficiency (including RCAs, part qualifications (PPAP), supplier claims, NCRs and derogations).
- Be a lean advocate, actively identify opportunities to simplify or standardize processes and tools within and across individual projects. like NCR Escapes, Severe Events, overall supplier non-Conformity number, Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) and other KPIs.
- Align with the SQ Leader for effective management of cross-sites Purchase Orders and Product Qualifications.
- Developing in-depth knowledge of a discipline. Uses prior experiences and acquired expertise to execute functional policy/strategy.
- Lead or support change management actions in SAP (QIRs) and supports with PMU activities (tools and measurement systems management).
- Knowledge of quality tools: FMEA (PFMEA, DFMEA), MSA, Process capability/SPC, PPAP, APQP.
- Knowledge of special processes is like welding, casting, surface treatment (silverplating, painting) is an advantage

Your Profile
- Excellent verbal and written English and German
- Technical apprenticeship and on top a degree as Engineer or Technician (FH BSc/HF) in Manufacturing, Design or Quality Engineering.
- More than 3 years of Experience in Supplier Quality Engineering
- Individual contributor, with strong interpersonal skills, able to work with autonomy and in team.
- Utilize technical expertise and judgement to solve problems. Leverage technical skills and analytic thinking to solve problems
- Ideally, experience with our product, Gas Insulated Substations, or other kind of high-voltage switchgears
- Computer skills (Office package, SAP etc.) Aptitude with analytical tools (ex. Excel, Power BI); specific skills should include data mining, pivot tables, data manipulation
- Flexibility and willingness to travel for supplier ( 10 %)
