- Are you a senior AI expert with hands-on working style and enthusiasm to ensure that models are fit for purpose? Are you an inspiring team leader with outstanding stakeholder management skills? Then we are looking for you
- In this role you will:
- act as key contact for AI model validation
- ensure effective challenge of the models in your area of responsibility and consistently high quality of the corresponding validation reports
- manage communication with senior project stakeholders, including discussions of main validation outcomes and agreement of follow-up actions
- lead a highly skilled, mid-sized team, empower, grow, and motivate the team members
- represent UBS in audit and regulatory examinations

**Your team**
- You will be working in the Model Risk Management & Control (MRMC) function within the Group Chief Risk Officer organization. Our role is to understand and assess the risks associated with the use of models throughout the firm. You will be part of the MRMC AI & Compliance Models team where we focus on artificial intelligence models, as well as on models used to monitor operational risks such as money laundering, client risk rating, rogue trading, or market manipulations.

**Your expertise**
- an MSc or PhD degree in a quantitative field (e.g., computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics, engineering, or economics)
- in-depth knowledge of AI/ML and of model development/validation practices, optimally acquired in the financial industry
- sophisticated English writing skills, a structured but also flexible working style
- outstanding stakeholder management skills
- persistent in managing stakeholders and enforcing effective model governance
- ready to deal with many projects in parallel
- ability to empower the team, promoting a diverse, inclusive, and motivating environment foremployees with autonomy to deliver, mastery of skills and purposeful work
