The headquarters of DSM Nutritional Products (DNP) are based in Kaiseraugst, Switzerland, and has production sites all over the world; in Europe, Northern and Southern America, Asia/Pacific and Africa.

**Key areas of responsibility**
- Developing prototypes with nutritional ingredients and nutraceutical blends
- Production of small quantities of prototypes for customers or exhibitions in the food lab with HACCP standards for demonstration and validation
- Conducting lab tests for feasibility studies, for raw material screening or for customer trouble shooting (interaction of ingredients, food processing)
- Carrying out laboratory tests on small/lab scale equipment e.g. miniature-scale HTST/UHT process system, high pressure homogenizer, Stephan mixer, etc.
- Physical characterization like color measurement, pH, water content and activity, particle size distribution, viscosity, osmolarity, etc.
- Record and report results and specific observations to line manager or relevant stake holders
- Management of stability studies, which includes the storage and logistics of samples, management of external and internal sample analysis, documentation of results and reporting
- Management and logistics of prototypes and market ready solutions produced at contract manufacturers and inhouse
- Managing the inventory of raw materials and equipment used in the workplace and ensuring its maintenance and documentation
- Support laboratory visits of customers and internal stake holders.

**You bring**
- Apprenticeship in food technology, Laboratory Technician or equivalent (in the areas of: confectionery, beverages, pharma, dietary supplement, chemistry, pastry chef or comparable)
- Minimum 3 years of experiences in lab work/product development for food/beverage, dietary supplements, medical nutrition or infant nutrition
- An intermediate English language proficiency (B1) and German would be preferable
- MS Office Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
