For our client, a large pharmaceutical company based in Kaiseraugst, we are looking for an automation engineer Pharma Engineering **.**
**Background**:
Homebase Pharma Engineering is seeking a Pharma Engineering Automation Engineer (M/F/d) in the Packaging, Warehouse, and Logistics department for its Basel and Kaiseraugst locations. Homebase Pharma Engineering offers professional engineering services to internal business partners in the areas of research, development, launch, and market production, as well as packaging, warehouse, and logistics, at its Basel and Kaiseraugst locations. Activities include the planning and implementation of projects, as well as the operational engineering of packaging systems and small-volume packaging systems from an automation perspective. The focus of this position is the operational engineering of packaging lines in antibiotics production. Furthermore, business partners will be supported in brainstorming and developing concepts for new, innovative solutions for designing efficient production and packaging processes. Operational engineering involves implementing restructuring measures, problem-solving, and efficiency improvements in direct collaboration with business partners. Orders and projects are handled without hierarchies in self-organized specialist teams using a role-based work model. This requires a high degree of self-organization, vision, and team spirit, as well as strong communication skills.
As a Pharmaceutical Automation Engineer (M/F/d), you will support existing and new automation systems that are or will be integrated into the Roche infrastructure. The process systems you will be supporting have a very high degree of automation and are closely interconnected with each other and with higher-level IT systems.
**Tasks & Responsibilities**:
- Operational engineering with the aim of ensuring continuous production at all times
- continuous optimization of process plants and evaluation, testing and recommendation of new technologies
- Proactive support of business partners in defining and initiating investment projects, including cost estimates and schedules
- Collaboration in (leading) interdisciplinary teams with internal and external employees and companies
- Independent management of sub-projects in all project phases with responsibility for costs, deadlines, resources and technical solutions
- Support with audits and inspections by internal bodies and authorities in the areas of GMP and SGU
**Must Haves**:
- Completed vocational training or studies as a technician/engineer in the field of automation, electrical engineering, technical computer science or comparable
- At least 5 years of professional experience in the field of automation, in a strictly regulated work environment, preferably with a pharmaceutical background
- sound experience in the GMP and GAMP environment
- Very good user knowledge in the area of automation software from Siemens PCS7, TIA, WinCC or other systems such as B&R etc.
- Experience with vertical connection of the systems to higher-level systems (e.g.: automation pyramid / PI & MES)
- Very good knowledge of German is required, good knowledge of English, knowledge of French is an advantage
