About the team you are joining

IATA Corporate services (CS) encompass Corporate Finance, Treasury and Tax, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Global Finance Operations, Corporate Risk and Compliance, Corporate Administration and Procurement activities.

Join our Corporate Services division to help build the next generation Finance organization for IATA. The ambition that we have set ourselves as a division is to “Be the **trusted proactive** partner, providing **data-driven and AI- enabled** corporate services for the business, while upholding the highest** fiduciary** standards.”

The FP&A Director position will be responsible for leading and shaping the newly formed Financial Planning and Analysis team. The role is about building a FP&A practice that is business oriented, agile and collaborative. A practice where fit for purpose digital solutions support data analysis and operational metrics to drive pro-active decision making. More specifically, the FP&A Director will be tasked with helping IATA achieve a higher level of maturity in data analytics (D&A), in cooperation with the I&D department (Information & Data), to fully leverage the predictive and prescriptive capabilities afforded by machine learning and AI.

The FP&A’s ambition is to deliver next generation business planning, analysis and control services in a spirit of strong partnership across all IATA’s divisions. Your team will be the go-to finance resources for strategic decision support to senior decision makers including the CFO, Management Committee (MC), and Board.

This role reports to IATA’s CFO, SVP Corporate Services.

What your day would be like

The FP&A Director will ensure the FP&A activities align with Corporate Services’ ambition and objectives and support the delivery of IATA’s strategy and Board monitored targets.

This role will be leading the following key activities:

- Build a smart driver-based and scenario-based forecasting and planning process that enables the MC to better anticipate opportunities, spot risks, allocate resources and support faster decisions
- Set up, roll out and develop new data & analytics (D&A) that supports continuous decision making across all divisions
- Deliver controlling for complex business projects through reviews and assurance, while maintaining proper resource allocation and compliance, liaising with key stakeholders
- Establish a robust partnership with peers across all divisions, collaborating and providing pro-active advice and oversight of their activities and performance
- Support the Board’s corporate financial reporting and analysis delivery
- Actively engage and deliver on continuous improvement and transformation initiatives for FP&A and CS, including enhancing operational efficiency, optimizing end-to-end processes and supporting the implementation of best practices across the organization
- Proactively ensure business and finance requirements are adequately reflected in the technical landscape down to data model, as part of the new ERP project (called BORA). Be accountable for all FP&A tools and processes
- Ensure the new FP&A practice brings efficiency, speed, precision, agility and deliver a valuable service across the organization

We would love to hear from you if
- Over 10 years of relevant experience leading FP&A teams within multinational organizations, collaborating with diverse stakeholders across the business
- A proven history of transforming the FP&A function by driving digital innovation and placing data & analytics (D&A) at its core
- Technology savvy with hands-on experience implementing AI-driven solutions (e.g. RPA software, predictive analytics,) to enhance FP&A capabilities,
- Demonstrated success in developing and upskilling FP&A teams, fostering innovation and digital fluency
- Strong business acumen and a trusted partner to senior stakeholders,
- Fluent in English
