What will your essential responsibilities include?
- Perform desk top risk analysis for Underwriters, Claims handlers and Clients
- Quantify risk exposures through MPL evaluation
- Conduct loss prevention audits on site including prospects, underwritten construction project visits and as well as site visits following a claim
- Deliver survey Reports and Risk Grading: prepare loss prevention reports following a visit containing a detailed risk analysis.
- Propose and negotiate loss prevention and protection plans to clients.
- Provide on-demand technical assistance for customers
- Perform account reviews on behalf of underwriting and attend Underwriting Committee meetings
- Contribute to the development of internal AXA XL technical procedures and standards
- Offer and discuss innovative products with clients in conjunction with the Innovation and Business Development department

We are looking for a new team member. You will be provided with autonomy, empowerment, training and guidance where needed and appropriate to your level of experience:

- Engineering background with a degree from a major construction or civil engineering school with a minimum of 5-10 years working experience in the construction domain (as contractor, designer, loss adjuster or external checker)
- Specialist for Construction Risks, you will also have knowledge of the European standards (Eurocodes, ETA, EAD), recent developments in Building transition and Energy transition and past work in the industrial sector, nuclear and/or renewable energy fields will be an advantage.
- Good team player
- Excellent analytical skills enabling the role holder to conduct risk assessment using construction plans and specifications as well as during a site visit
- Excellent communicator: Able to communicate with people on a construction site, with client management and AXA XL colleagues
- Excellent report writing capabilities
- Languages: Fluency in English and German is essential, French, and other languages are a plus
