The **Switzerland Area Sales Manager** will oversee the operations of our affiliate: ensure an efficient daily business in our department store/Independent corners, development of business, team management and lead, group representation at key meetings with important stakeholders.
Reporting to the CCO, this position will develop the career paths of playing an integral role in supporting and delivering company values and goals daily. The manager will effectively leverage experience, knowledge, and skills to encourage innovative thinking and set challenging team goals and objectives balancing brand, company, and team needs.
Memo International is seeking a well-rounded brand professional with a solid experience in sales and operations at a national level, ideally with a background in niche and specialty distribution, to lead and evolve the brand presence, aligned to the broader strategies and objectives of the business.
**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Implement the brands strategies
- Lead the strategic development with a clear balance of short-term goals and long-term vision
- Implement the full 360 plan for the strategic launches.
- Understand the P&L to develop ambitious sales plans and optimize profit
- Develop network of brand supporters to help push brand through all possible communications channels (i.e. press, events, influencer activations)
- Regularly report to upper management
**DETAILED RESPONSABILITIES**:
- Regularly present in department/independent stores (frequent travels)
- Negotiate trade marketing (COOP) deals with retail partners to ensure maximum exposure for brands
- Speak regularly to Beauty Floor Managers in tandem with direct report to help drive business and ensure brands are maximizing all possible opportunities in-store
- Recruit the best commercially driven sales team of Beauty Ambassadors, Coops & freelancers.
- Train, Coach and develop direct report’s talents by providing constructive feedback and specific action steps to help him/her reach his/her highest level of contribution
- Manage and is responsible for the performance of direct report including on-time performance and accuracy of projects
- Empower direct report to motivate the sell-out teams and have best stock available in each door
- Lead the entire Swiss operation to ensure a perfect daily business. This includes (but is not limited to) working with the group Logistics Manager to ensure orders are received and processed on time, ensuring department store counters are equipped with proper merchandise and selling tools (i.e. samples, testers etc ), as well as managing returns and chargeback operations with retail partners.
**Qualifications**
- 3-5 years of related experience minimum
- Undergraduate degree required
- Exhibit excellence in execution Passion for luxury / beauty and fragrances (perfumery knowledge is preferred)
- Retail experience and store management a must
- Capable to manage sell in to department stores, and on the floor (set an example for the team)
- Training and sales expertise in fragrance
- Creative/luxury brand experience preferred
- Must be an excellent team player; possessing the ability to build, foster and nurture strong relationships and gain the respect of members of the cross-functional and affiliate teams
- Must be mature, responsible, accountable, organized and must possess the potential to manage and develop direct reports
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication, analytical, creative and computer skills
- Ideally speaks French, German, English
- At ease with all the MOS Office
