At ONWARD we're looking for a Chief of Staff - Technology to join our team.

**About the job**:
**Job Summary**

The Chief of Staff - Technology will play a key role in establishing and integrating the vision and needs of the R&D organization and in driving truly revolutionary and deeply impactful development programs to realization. You will assist the Chief Technology Officer in day-to-day activities and help create, manage, and maintain operational excellence in the R&D organization. You will also contribute to strategic matters, with a focus on the company’s technology roadmap.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage the formation, execution, and maintenance of the company’s development system.
- Drive intra-departmental and cross-function communication and coordination.
- Run R&D staff meetings, driving execution of objectives and follow-up activities.
- Develop and track departmental performance metrics.
- Lead and participate in cross-departmental initiatives.
- Help to develop and manage the R&D budget.
- Contribute to development and pursuit of the company’s technology roadmap, including maintaining a future technology identification matrix and participating in business development meetings with current and future technology partners.
- Work with the CEO’s Chief of Staff on strategic planning and enterprise-wide initiatives that may impact R&D or the company at-large.
- Identify ways to optimize the CTO’s time and productivity.

**Experience, Qualifications & Skills**
- MSc in Engineering Management (or equivalent), with an understating of relevant technologies, program management concepts, engineering management and engineering tools.
- 5+ years relevant industrial and R&D experience, with 5+ years in the management of projects, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience as a Management Consultant, working on projects germane to optimizing R&D effectiveness, program management, or cross-functional project management.
- Demonstrated ability to work with R&D leadership in the realization of process and programs.
- Working knowledge of program management and ERP software; Jira, Confluence and MS Dynamics preferred.
- Strong understanding of and experience with Agile methodologies.
- A team player who can collaborate well with engineering leadership and manage relationships across departments.
- A very strong communicator who can drive effective intra-departmental and cross-functional coordination and understanding.
- Results oriented, hands-on and thrives well in an innovative, fast-paced and performance driven organization.

**Supervision**
- This is an individual contributor position with strategic responsibility and impact. The Chief of Staff
