**SUMMARY OF ROLE**

Digital Transformation is The Key Topic within Industry 4.0. Currently almost every industrial customer launched internal teams dealing with this. Building on the company’s cultural transformation and role as a technology and software partner across all industries, Emerson is helping companies to reach their sustainability goals and optimize operations.

Based in Switzerland or in Austria, the Business Development Manager Digital Transformation systematically seeks, develops, supports and implements growth strategies to achieve or exceed bookings targets for DACH region within DX business. Within this role it´s key to work independently on the topic as well as with MSol team and other business units.

**IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL**:

- Identify the market requirements and specifics, develop and execute the strategies and tactics for growth of orders and profitability within agreed customers in DACH.
- Actively promote and sell MSol Digital Transformation offerings, including products, solutions and services in the agreed responsibility.
- Actively visit customers to promote the assigned product lines, product portfolio, growth initiatives and services.
- Understand market dynamics and requirements. Identify and analyze market opportunities
- Negotiate with Customer relevant Business Contracts within the agreed Delegation of Authority - including discount, price and volume structures.
- Drive sales and proposal strategies together with the BU & DACH sales organization.
- Maintain opportunities for the assigned sales accounts in the associated tools (e.g. CRM). This includes standard quotations & projects as well.
- As part of the Solution Sales Team, help to pursue ,sell and close Solution Opportunities
- Continuously drive improvement of customer satisfaction by understanding their needs and communicate and execute (customized) products & solutions within Digital Transformation.
- Participate in customer development activities as trade shows, fairs, conferences aiming to promote the sale of products, solutions and services.
- Maintain and continuously grow products and technology knowledge and skills required to perform the job.
- Report regularly on market trends, competition strategies and customer behaviors which may affect the Emerson business strategies.
- Observe the “Business Ethics” stipulated by Emerson.
- Ensure that all transactions are properly screened and recorded in accordance with the company’s Trade Compliance procedures and escalate any concerns or questions to the local Gatekeeper.
- Perform other job related duties as required

**FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED**:

- Technical high school diploma or any university degree.
- Several years sales experience in the Digital Transformation, Wireless or industrial market.
- Excellent sales skills.
- Eloquent customer oriented behaviour.
- Results driven sales person.
- Business English skills.
- Good knowledge of German language.
- Willing to travel within the DACH Region
