Product Owner

We are looking for a senior Product Owner to direct product development and ensure high return on investment. You’ll translate ideas into actionable work, prepare with the scrum master and tech leads the work needed to be done to achieve the goals, and follow product development from start to finish. To succeed in this role, you should be a perceptive and creative leader and a reliable problem-solver. If you’re also confident and have a knack for knowing what ideas will and won’t work, we’d like to meet you.

**Responsibilities**
- Ultimately, you are responsible for the execution of the task inside the tech team.
- You set an inspiring vision, strategy and metrics for your product on which you create buy-in and alignment throughout the organization. Furthermore, you help distribute your knowledge within the organization to ensure the product awareness of everyone.
- You understand markets, competition and user requirements in depth.
- You own our product roadmap and you understand the achievements, dependencies, difficulties, and delays that occur along the way. You update the roadmap accordingly and share this information with the relevant stakeholders in a transparent and understandable way.
- You are goal-oriented. You define and communicate transparently the product and sprint goals collaborating with the product team, developers and other stakeholders.
- You are an articulate and persuasive communicator, both as a writer and a speaker, as stakeholder management is a crucial part of your daily work.
- You have a constant and dedicated focus on our customers. It includes managing customer expectations. You are able to understand the customers, challenge their requests and separate the _needs_ from the _wants_.
- You work with the team in short iterations in a lightweight Scrum environment shaped by the team and you therefore need to have an understanding of agile methodologies, practices, and frameworks.

**What you bring**
- Extensive product owner experience, combined with experience of agile software development.
- Your job will be focused on payment solutions, so having a solid understanding of the payment industry is a must.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain the business value of seemingly technical concepts to a nontechnical audience. As we are an international company with the main language being English, you should be fluent.
- A proven ability to drive change across an organisation.
- You are a strong team player.
