**Your role**

Do you have experience with Swiss legal and regulatory matters related to institutional asset management business? Ideally, you will also have some first experiences in an international context and are interested in the institutional asset management, product distribution and wholesale business and in taking charge of legal aspects of related activities.

We're looking for someone like that to join our team on a temporary basis (approx. 24 months fixed term) to
- Advise on all legal and regulatory aspects related to the full spectrum of services to institutional and professional clients; this includes in particular advice with regards to discretionary portfolio management and other asset management service types such as advisory services and execution only activities (main focus), distribution of investment instruments as well as sales related topics.
- Contract drafting and negotiation of standardized and tailor-made documents in particular investment management agreements with CH and International clients, mainly governed by CH law as well as contribution to the development of internal and industry standards.
- Representing Legal in projects with a focus on CH matters.
- Collaboration with other internal stakeholders from same or other UBS divisions.
- Providing in-house trainings to legal colleagues and other stakeholders and participating in multidisciplinary and international regulatory working groups

**Your team**

You will be joining UBS Asset Management Client Coverage Legal team for EMEA & CH - an international in-house legal department with team members in Zürich, London, Luxembourg, Milan and Krakòw. You will be working in Zurich (Basel, Biel or Lugano). The team is responsible for developing, drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts and providing legal advice to internal stakeholders with respect to financial services and distribution of investment products. We provide our Asset Management business units in EMEA & CH with high-quality legal advice, tailor-made solutions and actively support them in the development and structuring of new offerings as well as negotiating agreements. Our goal is to make sure our clients get systematic, coherent and tailored asset management legal services.

**Your expertise**
- A master degree in Swiss law; admittance to the bar and an additional European legal qualification is a plus.
- At least 3 years of practical experience in a law firm or in the (institutional) financial services sector (or a career comeback), preferably with experience of asset management.
- An interest in international and regulatory topics, feeling comfortable to be exposed occasionally to foreign law questions.
- A good communicator with first experiences in negotiations, analytical and interpersonal skills who is used to prioritize and to work independently or, in more complex cases, work under the lead of a senior lawyer, taking responsibility for delivering effective, pragmatic and compliant legal solutions to complex legal issues.
- Business fluent in German and English, additional languages (particularly French) would be a strong asset.
- Team player skills.
