Fotokite develops autonomous, high-endurance tethered unmanned aerial systems to help firefighters and public safety teams save lives. We are currently seeking a Graphic Designer who ultimately ensures that we look good and that our organization is easy to understand from both internal and external points of views. As a member of the internal design team, the Graphic Designer collaborates with internal and contracted designers and helps the business, marketing, and sales team present and communicate the organization’s brand in a visually clean and easy to understand manner. This position brings our products, packaging and brand to life with tangible productions such as brochures, trade show materials, labels, stickers, patches and more. **Responsibilities** - Conducts visual research on design projects - Creates graphic design concepts based on team lead direction - Translates design concepts into clean, structured presentations that are easy to read and understand and free from ambiguity - Creates production-ready design packages that can be used for quotation and later for production by external vendors - Supports the user interaction team with the creation of digital assets - Creates digital and analog sales assets, such as social media posts, ads, invitations, printed brochures, updated tradeshow booth graphics etc. in support of the sales and marketing team - Obtains quotes and oversees the production of all graphic design assets - Maintains and continues the development of the existing corporate identity - Performs other duties as assigned **Education/Qualifications** - _Eidg._ Fähigkeitszeugnis "Grafiker/in EFZ" or equivalent graphic design education with internship/apprenticeship required - Höhere Fachprüfung (HFP), Dipl. Grafik-Designer/in - Minimum of 1 year of work experience required - Mandatory Digital Skills: - Adobe Creative Cloud - Photoshop - Indesign - Illustrator - Acrobat DC - Office - Powerpoint (incl. creating layouts and templates and training team members) - Word (incl. creating layouts and templates and training team members) - Google - Sheets, Docs, Slides (incl. creating layouts and templates and training team members) - Mandatory Analog Skills - Use of analog techniques such as prototyping, printing, cutting, collages, etc. - Understanding of print techniques - Paint and color theory - Understands and internalizes the design theory of Dieter Rams, Otl Aicher, George Nelson, Paul Rand - Ability to manage workload dynamically and prioritize work assignments is required - Ability to learn new digital and analog programs, tools and techniques - Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines with mínimal supervision is required - Demonstrated ability to manage several short - and long-term projects simultaneously - Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of an organization - Experience as a volunteer in a public safety organization or member of a volunteer search and rescue team i.e., from SAC is a plus - Fluency in English is required, any other language is a plus We require that applicants are eligible to work in Switzerland and are fluent in English.
