About the role
- Reporting into the Financial Controller, the primary purpose of the role is to assist with planning, coordinating and reporting of the financial activities for MS Amlin AG.
**Responsibilities**:
- Being an integral member of the finance team and participating in all aspects of the monthly expense reporting and close processes
- Booking and monitoring of monthly expenses and financial accruals
- Providing support in the area of posting bank transactions and carrying out the monthly bank reconciliation
- Participating in monthly investment booking and review process
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year end IFRS reporting
- Liaise with internal and external auditors
- Various ad hoc clarifications
**Profile**:
- Commercial/accounting education or any comparable business studies
- At least 3 years’ experience in bookkeeping, IFRS and Swiss Code of Obligations reporting
- Participating in the preparation of quarterly IFRS and regulatory reporting packages
- Experience in re/insurance is a plus
- Good knowledge of MS-Office and General Ledger systems. Additional IT knowledge would be an asset
- Good communication skills, hands-on working style; team spirit, proactivity and flexibility
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Open-minded positive personality with a keen interest to work in a hands-on international team
- Proficiency in German (preferably as mother tongue) and in English, both written and spoken; any additional language would be an asset
