Safety is aviation’s highest priority. By joining IATA Safety Risk and Quality Assurance Team, you will gain an understanding of the aviation industry’s unique challenges.
You will have the opportunity to work with experienced aviation professionals across multiple aviation domains. The Safety Risk Intern will report to the Manager, Compliance and Performance. The successful applicant will be part of exciting risk and safety related activities to the benefit of IATA’s members.
You will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of safety risk management, quality assurance, and support the Safety Division with a focus on communication, data intelligence, digital solutions roll out and potential process enhancements.
What your day would be like
- Support the Safety Risk and Quality Assurance team in the conduct of their daily activities, such as updating the safety issues log and assisting in the management of safety risk assessments
- Conducting analysis of incident and accident datasets to support our risk management processes
- Work with performance metrics and construct Power BI dashboards based on existing datasets
- Support the Safety Risk team in the digital solution deployment of the Global Safety Risk Management Framework
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, participating in meetings and discussions
- Ad-hoc projects and team initiatives support
- Support Quality Assurance activity as part of the IATA Operational Safety Audit program
We would love to hear from you if
- Recent university graduate with bachelor’s degree
- Natural interest about the aviation industry, with a strong interest in airline safety and digital transformation
- Familiar with data visualization and analysis tools. Proficient in using MS excel, SharePoint, Power Point and Power BI
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail oriented.
