**Position Summary**:Responsible for the sale of Livent products in the European and UK regions including BuLi, Specialty Organics and Lithium Salts. The position will be located from a home-based office in Switzerland and will be responsible for implementing approved sales strategies for the EU & UK regions. The individual in this role will work closely with Marketing, Inside Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Technology to achieve Livent’s goals.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Ensure the sales budgets are fulfilled on Livent products within the EU & UK regions.
- Provide regular and accurate sales forecasts for review and consideration by Livent’s global/senior sales team.
- Manage relationships with customers.
- Fulfil customer needs by liaising with Supply Chain.
- Understand the external market, industry needs, competitive intelligence, as well as current and developing technology.
- Develop a strong understanding of Livent’s products and capabilities.
- Document competitive intelligence, market and customer information in CRM.
- Communicate and support customer issues and market needs to Inside Sales, Technology, Operations and Supply Chain.
- Act swiftly and proactively to resolve customer complaints.
- Ensure Inside Sales departments are supported in order processing.
- Assist Logistics to facilitate smooth transportation of Livent products across Swiss and non-English speaking European borders.
**Education and Experience**:
- B.S. degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering required.
- 5-10 years' experience in sales and marketing of technical products within the chemical industry required.
- Knowledge of the international chemical industry required, with a minimum of 5 years international business experience.
- Customs clearance experience across Swiss/EU borders desired but not required.
- Fluency in German and English (written and spoken) is required; additional fluency in French (written and spoken) desirable
**Knowledge and Skill Requirements**:
- Knowledge of SAP, CRM and SAP BI (Business Intelligence).
- Experience assisting with large, global multi-year and multi-product customer negotiations.
- Strong independent self-starter with a passion for learning and development.
- Need to have strong interpersonal, presentation, organisational and communication skills including the ability to manage by influence required.
- High energy, ambitious, and desire for growth is essential.
**Work Environment**:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).

**Travel Required**:Local and international travel required (up to 60%).
